Because SCFH Academy will no longer provide Fingerprinting, Passport Photos, or the Notary for Affidavits, the cost of the CHL training will decrease accordingly.  The new cost will be as follows: June 1, 2012, prices are going up. $20 discount when paying online here==============================>>>>   $100 for new CHL students if paid in advance.   $60 for Renewals if paid in advance.   $80 for CHL students that have completed the NRA Pistol Training with SCFH Academy. $70 for Active Duty Military (including Reserves and Guard for both Federal and State military) $50 for Renewals if you have completed the NRA Pistol Training with SCFH Academy. Students may download the application from the DPS website and fill it out by hand.  I encourage students to do this only to use it as a preliminary "scratch paper" before doing it online.  This will save time and effort if you find that you cannot remember numbers or addresses of employers or residents for the last 5 years. Recent applicants have found that DPS will not honor the submission of classroom paperwork if submitted more than 90 days after making the application online.  They will not allow any refund.  DO NOT MAKE AN ONLINE APPLICATION BEFORE TAKING THE CLASS!	firearms @ scfh.net or call 903-634-7234

New DPS Requirements: Students will need to go to L-1 Services to obtain "Digital" fingerprints. Instructors will no longer be able to provide this service as a part of the classroom training.	L-1 Fingerprinting Service
When completing the Application online, you will receive notice (by email and by letter) instructing you to complete the following documentation before the application can be completed.   PLEASE DO NOT COMPLETE THE APPLICATION, FINGERPRINTS, OR THE PHOTOS UNTIL AFTER THE CLASSROOM TRAINING..	Sign up for Fingerprints CHL-6 (from instructor) CHL-100 (from instructor) Two Passport Photos (I recommend CVS Pharmacy in Pittsburg, TX) Other documenation: DD-214 Court Documents etc.
